Still kicking

I have been remiss, and I heartily apologize. On the one hand, I have not updated this blog at all since last fall, which is perhaps unsurprising given that so much of my mental energy was devoted in the early part of the year to preparations for the publication of Assorted Malignancies, leaving little in the tank for follow-ups. But at the same time, it’s unlike me, and far from my intentions, to maintain radio silence for so long.

And on the other hand, it’s not as though there were absolutely no news to report after the release of my first horror collection. Not one but two issues of Weird Fiction Quarterly were published, one for Halloween 2023 and one for Winter ’23-’24. And that means I had not two, but three flash fiction stories inflicted upon the world, since the Halloween edition was double-sized, with two contributions per author.

SHUDDER at the fate of a party-goer with a bit too much pride in his Halloween costume in “Soul Burden”! THRILL to the exploits of a farm community reckoning with supernaturally altered cycles of nature in “When the Fields Lie Heavy in Autumn”! FACE IF YOU DARE the ways by which monsters seek to win hearts and minds in “Love and Fear”! All available now, right here!
